The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area every day. The support place developed for intervention ordeals a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to permit the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
